A morning hike in late October around the south of Jeju led to a surprise encounter with a group of about 10 Black Wood Pigeons. This was my first time encountering them on Jeju. I've heard that they breed on the southern iselets just off of Seogwipo, and can occasionaly be seen in the mountainous forests. Are they on the move, or do they live in these forests?
